These terms cover the Fearward iOS app and the subscription sold inside it. They are written to be read, like the privacy policy. Using the app means you accept them.
Who you're agreeing with
Fearward is made and published by STUDIO668, a business registered in the Republic of Korea. Apple handles the money — billing, renewals, refunds and tax — but the licence to use the app runs from us to you, which is what these terms are.

Who it's for
Fearward is made for adults. You need to be 18 or older to use it.
What's free and what's paid
Lines, Threads, and the alarms that bring you a question are free, with no limit. Reflection is the paid feature — that's the one that reads a set of your own writing back to you.
Your first Reflection is a gift
Every device gets one free Reflection. It opens once you have finished a single Thread, and it is used up when the first reply comes back.
- It is there for 48 hours from the first line you write in Fearward. After that it is gone, and the app tells you so.
- There is one per device, and it does not come back if you delete and reinstall the app.
- A device that has ever had a subscription doesn't get one — it is for someone who hasn't tried Reflection yet.
The subscription
- It is an auto-renewing subscription, bought and managed through Apple. The price and the billing period are shown on the purchase screen in your own currency before you buy anything.
- It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that period ends.
- You cancel it in your Apple account — Settings on your device, then your name, then Subscriptions. Not in Fearward, and not by emailing us. We cannot cancel it for you.
- There is no free trial. The free Reflection above is the whole of what's free, and the price shown on the purchase screen is the price charged.
How much you can use it
A subscription runs 10 Reflection sessions a month and one a day. A session is a whole sitting rather than a single message: it ends after an hour or 30 replies, whichever comes first, and leaving the screen and coming back does not start a new one or cost you another.
The month runs from the day your subscription renews rather than from the first of the calendar month. The day is a rolling window from your last message, so it can only ever open earlier than it did last time.
Refunds
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no way to issue a refund ourselves.
What Fearward isn't
Fearward is a tool for self-reflection, not therapy. It doesn't diagnose, and it can't replace a professional. It is not medical care, it is not an emergency service, and nothing in it should be taken as medical advice.

About Reflection
Reflection is written by an AI model reading what you wrote. It can be wrong, and it can miss the point. It is a mirror held up to your own words — not advice, and not a judgement about you. What you do next is yours to decide.
We do what we reasonably can to keep it available, but we can't promise it will never be down or interrupted.
What you write is yours
Your writing belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it and we do not use it to train anything. Where it goes, and how briefly, is set out in the privacy policy.
Please don't try to break, overload, or work around the app or its server, and please don't use it to do something illegal.
Apple's standard licence
The app itself is licensed to you under Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement, which you can read at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these terms and that licence disagree about the app itself, that licence governs.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
That does not take away the consumer protections you have where you live. If the law of your own country gives you rights that cannot be signed away, you keep them, and nothing here is meant to limit them.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Nothing here changes retroactively for a period you have already paid for.
